Four-Day Weekend

AISD Four-Day Weekend!

Aledo ISD campuses and offices will be closed Friday, May 26, and Monday, May 29. Friday was originally designated as a bad-weather makeup day, and Monday commemorates Memorial Day in honor of all men and women who have died in military service for the United States. Classes will resume Tuesday, May 30.

Pokrifcsak and Howington Angler
Aledo Anglers are headed to State Tournament

The Aledo Anglersí Club is sending seven teams to compete at the Texas High School Bass Association State Tournament on May 20 and 21 at Lake Ray Roberts. The teams competing for Aledo will be Tate Pokrifcsak and Cooper Howington, Carson McCone and Brandon Dominguez, Chris Griffin II and Zach Prestwood, Tanner Knight and Miles Lucas, Ky Schlosberg and Hayden Poston, Zach Summerhill and Grant Seay, and Julia Kisor and Sean Doyle.

The seven teams qualified by scoring in the top 50 percent in the recent regional tournament on Lake Palestine.† Of the 259 teams competing at Lake Palestine, twelve teams represented Aledo.

The freshmen team of Tate Pokrifcsak and Cooper Howington topped Aledo weighing in their 5-fish limit at 12.62 lbs.† The duo received an Angler of the Year Award from THSBA.

Spring Semester Exam Schedule


EXAM EXCEPTIONS


Students may be exempt from taking Spring Semester final exams only, based on class average and daily attendance.† Students desiring to be exempt from Spring Semester final exams must fall into one of the following categories:
  • Maintain an overall class average between 75 and 79 percent and have no more than 1 class absence.*
  • Maintain an overall class average between 80 and 84 percent and have no more than 2 class absences.*
  • Maintain an overall class average between 85 and above and have no more than 3 class absences.*
In addition to class average and daily class attendance students must also have no Unexcused Absences as well as no disciplinary actions resulting in a total of 4 hours of Friday Night School, ISS, OSS or AEP.
*Students are permitted to have Extra-Curricular or College Day absences.


If a student is exempt from an exam, the student IS STILL REQUIRED to attend school.

Aledo ISD has established the following policy for accepting checks and collecting bad checks: For a check to be an acceptable form of payment, it must include your current, full and accurate name, and address and telephone number. When paying by check, you authorize the recovery of unpaid checks and the recovery of the state-allowed fee by means of electronic re-presentment.
